KMG International (Rompetrol) expands the "hei" concept to Georgia.

The KMG International Group (Rompetrol) introduces, for the first time, the "hei" concept in the Rompetrol Georgia gas station network. The location chosen for the implementation of "hei" is the gas station on Saakadze Square, Tbilisi, one of the most heavily trafficked areas in the Georgian capital.

"It is a major step that our company is taking, with the clear objective of building customer loyalty, with new, modern services, oriented towards the needs of those who step in the Rompetrol stations. The concept is one that has recorded very good results in other countries as well, and the strong point is given by the gastro component, which tends to evolve more and more. Gas stations are not just places to refuel, they can become integrated spaces with quality services", stated Malik Tulekov, Finance Director and Acting General Manager of Rompetrol Georgia.

The implementation of "hei" in Georgia is part of KMG International's general strategy of consolidating and developing retail activities in the Black Sea region.

The new space combines a café and shop areas. The construction works of the “hei&coffee” space were carried out in accordance with the defining elements of the concept, which meet the need for customer comfort. In the new facility, those arriving at the Saakadze station can find a range of 2-origin coffee and pastry products in a premium store, which will be diversified from pastry to an expanded range of fresh products.

Rompetrol Georgia intends to expand the concept in the coming period to two other stations in Tbilisi, on Aghmashenebeli Avenue and on the Left River Bank at the cross of Dgebuadze and Khvamli streets, with a medium-term objective of covering approximately a third of the Rompetrol distribution network with the “hei&coffee” brand.

Rompetrol Georgia is a subsidiary of the KMG International Group (Rompetrol), owned by the national oil and gas company of Kazakhstan – KazMunayGas. With a distribution network consisting of 71 stations, Rompetrol Georgia is one of the most important players in the Georgian fuel market and is considered one of the leaders in providing fuels of international quality standards.

The company sells fuels produced in the Petromidia Năvodari refinery (Romania), one of the most important units in the Black Sea region.

Rompetrol Georgia also operates two strategically located warehouses to facilitate logistical efforts – one in the capital Tbilisi, the second in Batumi, in the most important domestic oil products terminal, located on the Black Sea coast.

The company has been present on the Georgian market since 2005 and is a major employer, with over 800 people involved in Rompetrol Georgia’s daily activities.
